As a young girl growing up in the hills of Eastern Kentucky, right down the road from Chris Stapleton & Loretta Lynn, Melissa never imagined that her love of performing and writing music would one day take her to Hollywood.
Melissa moved to L.A. to pursue her lifelong dream of getting her music heard around the world. Within two years, she got signed to a label and released her first EP. That EP was submitted in 6 categories for the 56th Grammys including: Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year (for "Don't Give Up"), Best New Artist, Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Engineered Album Non-Classical.
Over the course of her career she has shared the stage with some big hitters in the music industry: from country music legends (George Jones) to bona-fide rock stars (Slash). Some of the country's best musicians have played on her original songs including Tim Pierce (Michael Jackson, Stevie Nicks, Celine Dion, Kelly Clarkson) & Paul Bushnell (Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, The Weeknd, Sugarland).
Melissa's songs have been in Emmy Award-Winning web series and she has had Grammy nominated artists cover her songs! She has been featured on radio shows and interviews all over the world.
Melissa is currently collaborating with Savannah Gates in the hot new duo, MCSVG (pronounced McSavage) for their EP that will be released in 2023.
